Vancouver born and bred, David obtained his Master of Architecture degree at Nova Scotia’s Dalhousie University and went on to hone his skills under the tutelage of renowned designer Josh Schweitzer at Schweitzer Bim in Los Angeles, adding his stamp to design projects that included offices for Propaganda Films and Johns & Gormans Films before returning to his hometown to establish design firm Structure Design + Build in 1993. In 2001, he founded Evoke with friend and business associate Robert Edmonds.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Robert worked at Wolstoncroft Copland Advertising in his homeland, Fisher Design Studio in London, UK’s, Vancouver’s Palmer Jarvis/DDB, and Foote Cone Belding Advertising in Australia before making Vancouver his permanent home in 1993. He has worked extensively with Molson Breweries and their promotional partners; professional sports leagues such as the NHL, NBA, CFL and Indy Vancouver, and House Of Blues Concerts Canada & USA. In 2001, He founded Evoke with longtime friend and business associate David Nicolay.
After graduating from Brazil’s Faculdade de Belas Artes de São Paulo with a Master in Architecture degree in 2003, Mauricio moved to Switzerland to work as a junior architect at RD2B Architecture before returning to his home country of Brazil, where he worked with Guilherme Penteado Mattos as an Architect Project Manager. In 2011 he joined AEDA DBB São Paulo/NY, and in 2012 relocated to Vancouver to join Evoke, further complementing the creative international contingent that comprises the studio.
Born and raised in the Canadian prairies, Adam obtained his Bachelor of Design with a focus on industrial design from the University of Alberta before moving to the West Coast to earn a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of British Columbia. He firmly believes that design is a tool that can positively impact people’s moods, habits, imagination, and overall quality of life. While he has also called London, England, and Tokyo, Japan home, Vancouver is where his heart resides.
Originally from Vancouver, Meagan moved to London, England when she was 18 to study design at Central Saint Martins college and worked for a leading interior design studio and collaborated with a range of emerging and established brands, including food stores, independent burger brands and international restaurant chains. Whether it’s heritage buildings or contemporary skyscrapers, Meagan believes great design is simple, immediate and always itself. After a decade in London, Meagan returned to Vancouver in 2018 to help shape the future of the city she loves at Evoke.
An Australian designer and graduate of the University of Adelaide’s Master of Architecture program, Lachlan has spent the years since obtaining his degree gaining valuable experience on a wide variety of projects ranging in type and scale from large sporting venues to commercial offices, retail, hospitality, and residential dwellings. His wide-ranging portfolio has helped him cultivate a balanced set of design values built on thorough space planning, attention to detail, and minimalism.
A former professional classical dancer with stints in New York and Monaco, Marcella returned to her home country of Brazil to graduate in both Architecture and Interior Design, where she blends creativity and precision in a graceful way.
In 2018, she completed her studies at Boston Architectural College in Boston, USA; in 2022, she moved to Vancouver, Canada.
Today, she is part of Evoke, adding her experience in high-end projects to the team. Her uncanny knack for details turns every project into a visual symphony, adding the perfect touches to interiors.
Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and a Management certificate in Interior Design from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Divya brings a blend of creativity and strategic thinking to every project.
Beyond the world of design, her heart lies in photography and art. She finds inspiration by immersing herself in the outdoors, delving into diverse cultures, and connecting with people. These experiences not only enrich her design perspective but also infuse a unique and personal touch to each project.
Growing up in BC’s remote archipelago of Haida Gwaii, Pamm was immersed in a community of artists and artisans that helped foster in her an abiding passion for art and nature in all its forms. Professionally, she bolstered her resume working in office and project management roles for some of the top agencies in Canada before coming to Evoke, where she quickly established herself as the ‘juggler’ who manages the many moving pieces and deftly shepherds each project through to completion. An acolyte of supporting local, Pamm is a frequent attendee of locally run, grassroots art shows and champion of independent shops and restaurants throughout the city.
Born and raised in BC, Dean is a designer with a background in construction and custom home builds and brings to the Evoke team a keen eye and focus on moving projects from design concept through to completion and relishes every step of the client-design collaborative process. He approaches design with an honest, modern aesthetic, a strong focus on incorporating natural materials, simple expression and attention to detail. When not working, Dean can be found exploring the backcountry and mountains of BC with his family, where he is able to draws inspiration from the raw, natural beauty of his surroundings.
